After the countdown to 2020 the countdown to the High Museum Atlanta Wine Auction is on! The four days of events feature top-rated sips and the best in Atlanta’s food scene, to benefit the High Museum of Art.
Returning for its 28th year, the event kicks off on Wednesday, March 18, gets into high gear with the seated gourmet dinner at Friday UnCorked! and culminates in the Vintners’ Reception and Live Auction on Saturday, March 21. The main events will be held in the tents at Atlantic station.
More than 200 wineries and restaurants will be participating in the can’t-miss event of the Spring. Click here to see who will be there.
This year’s Special Guest of Honor is Dr. Madaiah Revana. Dr. Revana is owner of the Revana Wine Portfolio, which includes Revana Winery in California’s Napa Valley, Alexana Winery in Oregon’s Willamette Valley and Corazon Del Sol in Mendoza, Argentina.
The Special Guest Chef is Vivian Howard, owner of Chef & the Farmer, Boiler Room and Benny’s Big Time in North Carolina. Her book “Deep Run Roots: Stories & Recipes from My Corner of the South” is a New York Times bestseller and Chef Howard was honored as the South’s Best Chef of 2019 by Southern Living. She is the host of the PBS show, “A Chef’s Life.”
Benefactor packages for the 2020 High Museum Wine Auction are on sale now. Individual tickets are available for events including Dine Around Dinners, the Ladies and Gents Luncheons, Tasting Seminars and the High Revelry. Taking place on Thursday evening, the High Revelry is the perfect way for wine auction newcomers to get a taste of the action. More than a dozen wineries will be offering tastes along with bites from Atlanta’s restaurants, for an intimate evening of music, art and entertainment.
The High Museum of Art is the largest charity wine auction benefiting the arts in the United States, and has raised more than $32 million over its 27 years.
