Fernbank Museum’s Martinis & IMAX will be hosting a special Valentine’s Day edition on February 14th featuring two iconic movies, a prime rib entrée and heart-shaped cookie dessert, special Valentine décor, live music and more. The films are “Journey to the South Pacific,” a breathtaking adventure to the lush tropical islands of West Papua, and “Jerusalem,” a critically-acclaimed voyage into one of the most iconic places in the world. Kayla Taylor Jazz will perform a mix of jazz standards and love ballads. Special themed cocktails will include the Chocolate Kiss and Heart Throb. Martinis & IMAX is held every Friday from 7pm until 11pm, and tickets are $13 for adults, $12 for students and seniors, $8 for members.

From 5 to 11pm and for $39 per person, diners can enjoy a first course tasting for two of goat cheese crispies, salmon roulade and seared tuna with pineapple-jalapeno salsa with plantains. Second course dishes include Australian lobster tails, surf and turf and roasted rack of lamb. Dessert includes chocolate soufflé for two.

Bantam + Biddy chef Shaun Doty is bringing back a special dinner menu featuring classics from his former restaurant, Shaun’s. On Friday, February 14, the three-course meal is offered for $25 per person and includes a complimentary poinsettia cocktail at both restaurant locations. The first course offers choices of jumbo shrimp cocktail, prime beef tartare and fava bean salad with mint, black pepper and pecorino toscano. Cypress Street Pint and Plate will be having a special Valentine’s Day edition of their weekly Beer Geek series on Tuesday, February 11th beginning at 7pm. As an ode to their annual Valentine’s Day Blackout party, Cypress will be turning out the lights (literally) while guests sip on featured New Belgium brews and enjoy additional themed specials including half priced bottles of wine and a special beer and Sublime Doughnut pairing from resident Beer Geek, Rob “BrewRu” Merrick.

The first course is a choice of salmon tartare or goat cheese and heart of palm ravioli; second course is roasted northern blue cod with crab brandade croquette or petit filet and South African spiny lobster; third course is a warm flourless chocolate cake or a frozen strawberry soufflé. The Edgewood Speakeasy will be hosting “Lunar Rose” — a sensual night featuring cocktails, desserts and more on February 14th.
